The movie will be produced by Ramesh Taurani`s Tips Films. Taurani confirms, “Shahid is our ghar ka hero; a fabulous dancer and a huge star. Raj has worked with us on Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. We have signed Ileana for our movie. She is perfect for the role. She is a brilliant actress. We have seen her work down south.”

Talking about ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’, Taurani tells, “This film is a full-fledged masala entertainer with elements of romance and action. It is an original story and not a remake.”
The movie will go on floors from November and will release next year.
